Shriya Saran was signed up to play an important role in the Selvaraghavan-directed Viswaroopam. But now it looks like she will not be a part of the film any more. The reason for her ouster is said to be her recent visit to Sri Lanka. The actress was in Sri Lanka for a film shooting which is being directed by Deepa Mehta. While in Sri Lanka, she has reportedly told in an interview that she loves the country for its nature and would love to visit the country once more. The makers of Viswaroopam feel that this could rake up a problem in future and have decided against casting her in the film.
