A special show screened for Mani Ratnam

Director Bejoy Nambiar, whose Shaitan is being much talked about in Bollywood arena, was recently in Chennai to screen the film for his mentor, Director Mani Ratnam. 

The film stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Kalki Koechlin, and deals with the lives of six individuals.The director was quoted saying, “It was a special screening for Mani sir. I’ve assisted him in Guru, Raavanan and Raavan, and his opinion matters a lot to me”.

The screening was held at a popular multiplex in the city. Cameraman Madhie and production designer Rajeevan were also present at the screening..

After seeing the film, the director infused some words of appreciation to the director Bejoy..

Mani sir liked the film a lot and he was quite happy with the outcome. He’s a talented director and I love all his works. Getting his approval for my film was very important for me,” said Bejoy.

ஆக்ஷன், காதல் என்ற இரட்டை குதிரை சவாரியில் ஜெயம் ரவி சாமர்த்தியமாக பயணம் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார். இப்போது ‘எங்கேயும் காதல்’ படத்துக்காக ஹன்சிகாவோடு வெளிநாட்டில் கலர்புல்லாக காதலித்து திரும்பியிருக்கிறார். 

ஹன்சிகாவுடன் காதல் எப்படி?

படத்தின் தலைப்பு மாதிரியே எங்கெங்கோ சுற்றித் திரிந்து காதல் செய்திருக்கிறோம். வெளிநாட்டு பனி மலைகள், அழகான சாலைகள், பூங்காக்கள் என அத்தனை காட்சியும் வீட்டில் பிரேம் போட்டு மாட்டி வைக்கிற மாதிரி இருக்கும். லைட்டுக்கே லைட் போட்ட மாதிரி இருக்கிறார் ஹன்சிகா. அவர் பக்கத்துல நிற்கும்போது என்னோட கலர் கம்மியாகத்தான் தெரியும். வெயிலுக்கும் கருக்காத வெண்சங்கு அவர்.

மற்ற காதல் படத்துக்கும் இதற்கும் என்ன வித்தியாசம்?

மற்ற படங்களில் நான் காதலி பின்னாடி ஓடிக்கிட்டே இருப்பேன். இதில் காதலி என் பின்னால் ஓடிக்கிட்டே இருப்பார். ஒரு காட்சியில் கூட தொட்டு நடிக்கவில்லை. பார்க்காத காதல் மாதிரி இதை தொடாத காதல்னு சொல்லலாம். ஆனா, அதுக்கெல்லாம் சேர்த்து பாடல் காட்சியில் போனஸ் இருக்கு.

பிரபுதேவா மேனரிசத்தை பாலோ பண்ணியிருக்கீங்களாமே?

நான் எந்த படத்தில் நடித்தாலும் என் கேரக்டரை உற்றுப் பாருங்கள். அந்த கேரக்டரில் படத்தின் இயக்குனர் தெரிவார். அது மாதிரிதான் இதில் பிரபுதேவா. இப்படி நடித்தால் நன்றாக இருக்கும் என்று சொல்வார். அப்படியே நடிப்பேன். அது அவர் மாதிரியே இருக்கும். நிறைய விஷயங்களை அவரிடமிருந்து சுட்டிருக்கிறேன். இந்த கேரக்டரில் ஜெயம் ரவி நடித்தால்தான் நன்றாக இருக்கும் என்று இயக்குனர்கள் என்னை நம்பி வருகிறார்கள். அதை சரியாகச் செய்து கொடுக்கிறேன். நான் எப்போதும் இயக்குனர்களின் ஹீரோவாகவே இருக்கிறேன்.

நடனத்தில் பிரபுதேவா பெண்டு நிமிர்த்தியிருப்பாரே?

அப்படித்தான் நானும் முதலில் நினைத்தேன். ஆனால் அப்படி நடக்கவில்லை. தோளில் கைபோட்டு அவர் பழகிய விதமே அவர் எதிர்பார்ப்பதை விட சிறப்பாக செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற உற்சாகத்தை கொடுத்தது. அதனால் அவர் பெண்டு நிமிர்த்த வேண்டிய அவசியம் இல்லாமல் போனது. நடனத்திலும் பிரபுதேவாவையே பார்க்கலாம்.

காதல், ஆக்ஷன் என்று மாறி மாறி பயணம் செய்கிறீர்களே?

ரெண்டு கார் இருப்பது எப்படி வசதியானதோ அதுமாதிரிதான் இதுவும். ஒன்று ரிப்பேர் ஆனால் இன்னொன்றில் ஏறிப் போகலாம். ஒரே மாதிரி நடித்தால் ஒரு கட்டத்தில் ரசிகனுக்கு போரடிக்கும், ‘பேராண்மை’, ‘ஆதி பகவன்’ என்று பக்கம் போனால், ‘தில்லாலங்கடி’, ‘எங்கேயும் காதல்’ என்று இன்னொரு பக்கமும் செல்வதுதான் நல்லது. ரசிகர்களுக்கும் வெரைட்டி கிடைக்கும். எனக்கும் மாறுதல் இருக்கும்.

Maddy to don Khaki in Vettai

Madhavan aka Maddy will be seen in a new role in the film Vettai.. 

It is learnt that the actor will be playing a police officer for the first time in his next flick, Vettai, to be directed by Lingusamy.

Soures say,in this film the actor dons khaki and plays the brother of Arya.. While Sameera Reddy is paired opposite Maddy, Amala Paul teams up with Arya.

The actor who is bonding big time with the stars on the sets of Vettai was quoted saying in a micro-blogging site “It is an incredible script and working with Lingusamy is fun. I did Run with him eight years back. Arya is my close friend. We both share a great rapport on the sets. 

The actor seems to have no qualms in acting in multi starrers and finds this trend encouraging.. 

Maddy himself has given good multi starrer films like Aayitha Ezhuthu, Anbe Sivam, and Manmadhan Ambu..
